Protifun
Protifun is a biological conditioner that triggers a complex set of metabolic responses in the treated plant, leading to an overall improvement in its health condition. The improvement in the crop’s health is reflected in the activation of the plant’s self-defense system and the stimulation of its growth. It activates the systems responsible for growth, reproduction, and defense against abiotic stress.
It is an innovative biological conditioner, highly effective in promoting plant growth and designed to help plants reach their maximum potential. Protifun activates the plant’s immune system by means of:
- Inducing the production of HMGRL (an enzyme related to phytoalexin synthesis) and NtHSR203 (a hypersensitive response marker gene).
- Callose deposition.
- Release of reactive oxygen species: phytoalexins and hydrogen peroxide.

Foliar application:
In general: 250 ml/ha can be applied throughout the entire crop cycle, with no limitation on the number of applications, using 200 to 300 L/ha of water.
When Protifun is applied to the crop, the plant recognizes the “active ingredient” through specific receptors, which induces natural enzymatic processes that lead to increased development (greater biomass), enhanced reproductive capacity (better flower and fruit set), and strengthened natural defense mechanisms against abiotic stress (healthier plants).
In both laboratory and field trials, foliar applications of Protifun have shown excellent effectiveness in managing diseases such as rusts, leaf spots, septoria, cercospora, powdery mildew, and botrytis in winter cereals, potatoes, tomatoes, and vines.
